A Message to Our Valued Customers

In 2023, several major events occurred within the financial services industry that caused consumer concern regarding the safety of their deposits. While these events have since passed, and did not impact MountainOne in any way, we want to share the following information with you so you are well informed. It’s in our nature!

Here are the top three things you need to know:

  1. First and foremost, we want to ensure you that as a DIF Member Bank, all deposits with MountainOne are fully insured in excess of FDIC coverage. You can find our DIF membership verbiage on all website, print and digital communications.
  2. Second, you can rest assured the Massachusetts banking system is strong, stable, and reliable. MountainOne, specifically, is a growing institution, and well positioned for today’s economic environment. Our capital base and asset quality are very strong, and we have a well-defined strategic direction with a focus on local customers and businesses. Click here to read our most recent Annual Report which includes a deep dive on our financial position.
  3. Lastly, our Mountaineers are here to guide you through any uncertainty. It’s in our nature! We encourage you to reach out to your banker and lender if you have any questions about your accounts, or the recent events that have taken place in the banking industry.
