MountainOne grants service award to COCC

Thursday, December 19, 2013

North Adams, MA – MountainOne Financial, headquartered in North Adams, MA, has announced that the recipient of its inaugural MOVE (MountainOne Vendor Excellence) Award is COCC, according to Thomas S. Leavitt, MountainOne President & CEO. COCC (Connecticut Online Computer Center) provides core processing services for MountainOne Bank.

According to Leavitt, “We present the MOVE award to COCC in recognition of their outstanding service during our Williamstown Savings Bank, Hoosac Bank, and South Coastal Bank integration projects in 2012 and 2013. The COCC team demonstrated staying power and a multi-disciplinary project focus to assure a positive outcome resulting in a new MountainOne Bank.”

During the complex merge process, COCC, in partnership with the bank’s merger team, brought together the individual banks’ account and customer data, processes and products – a major undertaking, given the sheer size and diversity of each institution. COCC also coordinated the integration of the banks’ separate customer service platforms, which include online banking, telephone banking and debit cards, into a single cohesive system. The MountainOne MOVE award is presented to COCC in recognition of the successful integration of all these systems. The benefits have included a common platform of services across all of our locations, streamlined frontline production, and stronger support efficiency.

“The MountainOne MOVE award is the highest recognition COCC could possibly receive,” said Richard A. Leone, COCC’s President and CEO. “The central theme of our partnership is delivering solid value to our clients. We are absolutely thrilled that our efforts to integrate three institutions into a single banking powerhouse have delivered outstanding results for MountainOne Bank.”

COCC, headquartered in Southington, CT, is the sixth largest provider of integrated technology services for financial services institutions. The company provides core processing systems and customer management tools. Founded in 1967, COCC has over 400 employees, and was recently named one of Connecticut’s Best Places to Work by the Hartford Business Journal.
