Preventing Holiday Cybercrime and Fraud – Consumer Advisory Report

Stay informed this holiday season! Top tips on how to avoid common holiday scams are outlined in the latest consumer advisory report from the US Department of Treasury.

These include only buying from reputable merchants, staying informed of common scam tactics, i.e., when receiving unsolicited calls, emails or texts from your financial institution, and practicing safe online behavior (think: not oversharing personal information on social media).

The report also outlines what to do should you encounter a scam.
