North Adams, MA – MountainOne’s own Robert Fraser, President & CEO, and Matthew Lauro, SVP of Commercial Lending, were recently featured in an article published by BusinessWest, As It Marks 175 Years, MountainOne Strives to Be the Berkshires’ ‘Go-to Bank’.

The article highlights MountainOne’s 175th Anniversary, which began this year, our rich company history, unique geographic footprint, and even our distinctive Mo the Spokesgoat brand [mascot]! Also covered was the current economic state, and how our deep roots in our communities, our diversity of services, and strong track record will help us weather the storm; and in turn, will help our customers do so as well.

Furthermore, Bob Fraser acknowledged the abundant real estate between the Berkshires and the South Shore, and the commercial lending opportunity it provides MountainOne being uniquely located in both these regions. Matt Lauro also pointed out how the Berkshires region is still chock full of opportunity.

Also discussed was how technology continues to be an important part of our strategic growth vision, and how our approach to customer relationships enables us to effectively service our bank customers without the need for a branch on every corner.

Kudos to Bob, Matt, and writer George O’Brien at BusinessWest for capturing such a positive message of strength and stability on behalf of MountainOne. We are proud to be the ‘go-to’ bank for our customers, and we are more than excited to celebrate our 175th anniversary.
