North Adams, MA – MountainOne is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Meehan as Vice President, Community Engagement Officer. In her role, Meehan will drive MountainOne’s community engagement efforts throughout MountainOne’s footprint in the Berkshires and the South Shore.
Meehan’s primary focus is on cultivating relationships with strategic community and nonprofit partners; directing MountainOne’s community dividend giving program; coordinating community financial education initiatives; and organizing volunteerism opportunities for Mountaineers within the local communities that MountainOne serves. Through these efforts and in collaboration with other key internal stakeholders, Meehan will ensure the fulfillment of MountainOne’s Core Commitment of Community Engagement and its Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) responsibilities.
President & CEO Robert Fraser remarks, “Jennifer brings with her two very important attributes: a deep understanding of the needs of the Berkshires’ community and years of experience in the local nonprofit industry, allowing her to make an immediate impact to our community partners.”
Prior to this role, Meehan served as Director of Community Engagement at Berkshire Housing; Director of Volunteer Services & Community Engagement at Southwestern Vermont Healthcare; and Director of Marketing at the Berkshire Family & Individual Resources (BFAIR), where she collaborated with a vast array of community businesses and organizations, managed outreach campaigns, and events.
Within the Berkshires, where she is a lifelong resident, Meehan currently serves as Vice Chair of the Northern Berkshire Community Coalition, as well as Board member for the Northern Berkshire United Way. Personally, Meehan “loves seeing the creative, cultural economy find partners in the business realm.”
Meehan’s education includes a Master of Arts from SUNY Empire State in Saratoga Springs, NY, and a Bachelor of Arts from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams, MA. Meehan currently resides in Adams, MA with her husband and two daughters.
