Providing its Community Dividend Grant Program to local not-for-profit organizations within the two regions it serves, MountainOne supports organizations that positively impact economic and workforce development, health and wellness, disability services, education and financial literacy, veteran services, arts and culture, affordable housing, and other community investment programming.

MountainOne will be the lead sponsor of several races, most notably the MountainOne Steel Rail 5K and 10K Races and the MountainOne Thankful 5K Race. MountainOne, working with Kent and Shiobbean Lemme of the Berkshire Running Foundation, seeks to support the community’s engagement with healthy activities.

MountainOne has donated $25,500 to Berkshire-based Hillcrest Educational Foundation to help support their students in residential and community-based day programming. Similarly, Goodwill Industries of the Berkshires and Southern Vermont received funds for their Soar for Success Training Program which provide training opportunities to those with barriers to employment so they can gain a pathway to enhance their job readiness skills.

In anticipation of the reopening of the North Adams Regional Hospital by Berkshire Health Systems, MountainOne has provided a gift of $10,000 to the health care organization to off-set opening support and community tours. On the South Shore, health care initiatives by Manet Community Health Center (Quincy) were sustained for the second year in a row, allowing Manet to expand on fundraising efforts through a matching gift program.

“Strategic giving that supports community need, and growth is imperative to our work,” said Jennifer Meehan, Vice President, Community Engagement Officer. “Our Mountaineers are at the heart of our philanthropy,” continued Meehan, “they are actively engaged volunteering in our communities and contributing to make our communities a better place to live.”

MountainOne’s Community Dividend Program also supported affordable housing initiatives through the South Shore Habitat for Humanity (Norwell) and NeighborWorks (Quincy), community fundraisers for BART Charter School (Adams) and Berkshire Nursing Families (Berkshires), veteran advocacy through Community Legal Aid (Berkshires), and several more not-for-profits serving the communities in which MountainOne does business.
