MountainOne Financial MHC Holds First Post-Merger Annual Meeting, Highlights Strong Growth and Integration Process

MountainOne Financial, MHC, the mutual holding company of MountainOne Bank and Mechanics Cooperative Bank, held its 177th Annual Meeting on May 19, 2026, marking the first annual meeting since the merger of MountainOne Financial, MHC and Mechanics Bancorp, MHC became effective on January 1, 2026.

The meeting brought together corporators, trustees, officers, and senior leaders from both organizations to review 2025 performance, discuss progress on the integration of the two organizations, and look ahead to opportunities for the combined enterprise. Corporators also confirmed board nominations.

Updates highlighted progress made during the first months following the merger, including the work of cross-functional integration teams and efforts to leverage shared technology, expertise, and resources across the organization.

MountainOne Bank reported another year of strong financial performance in 2025, along with continued investments in technology and customer experience. The meeting also highlighted MountainOne employees’ commitment to the communities they serve. Mountaineers volunteered 1,824 hours supporting 60 nonprofit organizations across the Berkshires, South Shore, and Pioneer Valley.

Mechanics Cooperative Bank reported growth across multiple business lines during 2025, along with continued investment in its employees and leadership. Four recent leadership promotions within the organization were also recognized during the meeting.

MountainOne Insurance Agency shared updates on its performance, organizational growth, and strategic direction, including a five-year plan focused on continued expansion and customer service excellence.

The meeting concluded with a focus on continued integration and the organization’s shared vision of remaining locally focused while leveraging the strength, expertise, and resources of a larger combined enterprise.
