MountainOne is proud to announce the release of “Getting to Work,” the third children’s storybook in its series featuring Mo, the MountainOne Spokesgoat.
Written by Doug Murphy and illustrated by Laura Salafia, the new book builds on the success of MountainOne’s earlier titles, “How to Climb a Mountain” and “Something to Save,” continuing the series’ focus on meaningful life lessons through engaging storytelling.
In “Getting to Work,” readers follow Mo and his friend Penny the chipmunk as they discover the importance of responsibility, teamwork, and contributing to a shared community. Along the way, they meet a lively group of new characters, including Dakota the dog, Great the farm goat, and Rory the raccoon, whose unexpected journey helps teach an important lesson about helping others, finding a sense of belonging, and the value of community.
Through stories like these, MountainOne aims to help young audiences build smart financial habits and foundational life skills through lessons centered around teamwork, responsibility, contribution, and earning rewards through hard work in a way that feels approachable, engaging, and fun.
To celebrate the launch, MountainOne is planning a series of complimentary public readings at local libraries, elementary schools, and branch locations throughout the communities it serves.
“We’re thrilled to bring Mo’s next adventure to life and share it with families across our communities,” said Brenda Petell, Vice President, Community Engagement Officer at MountainOne. “This story helps children understand the importance of contributing, working together, and taking pride in helping others. Seeing the excitement at our readings has been incredibly rewarding, and we’re looking forward to continuing that connection with families across our communities.”
“Getting to Work” is part of MountainOne’s continued commitment to supporting families, promoting financial literacy, and creating meaningful community connections through storytelling and education.
