On November 16th, 2023 a group of Mountaineers participated in a hands-on Volunteer Day. Together, they loaded 500+ books (previously collected as part of our Book Drive) and delivered them to an affordable housing property managed by NeighborWorks Housing Solutions in Quincy, Massachusetts.
Our Mountaineer volunteers, along with help from Serenity and Emily from NeighborWorks, assembled five circular wooden bookshelves to go on each floor of the residential building. The remaining books were then delivered to the library of the other NeighborWorks’ property across the street. The whole group truly enjoyed getting out and supporting the local South Shore MA community! đź“š
THANK YOU to everyone who participated and donated books! Our hope is that the families living in the NeighborWorks’ residential properties will enjoy these books for many years to come.
